CFS Hosts First-Ever Virtual All School Sing

On Thursday, April 16, CFS hosted an afternoon All School Sing via Zoom for the first time in the School’s history. Marytha Paffrath, Instrumental Music and Dance Program Director, was joined by special guest artist, Susan Robbins, at their “local shelter-in-place Steinway.” Close to 100 online attendees were led in just over 30 minutes of CFS favorites, and were also taught a new song. Students and their families, faculty and staff, former teachers, and grandparents joined in and sang from their homes. Adding some fun, many participants brought stuffed animals and the like, bringing many smiles to this socially distant fun.

Reflecting on the All School Sing, Marytha stated, “Gazing at the mosaic of our CFS community raising voices in collective, heartfelt song was an uplifting and inspiring experience from my vantage point. Thank you all for joining and keep on singing – wherever you are!” The virtual All School Sing is one of many online events designed to keep the CFS community engaged, and hopefully raise spirits during such challenging times. The School has made a concerted effort to keep the CFS community as connected as possible, and will be hosting more online events like this during the remainder of the School’s closure.
