Charlotte Croft

Charlotte Croft is the science teacher for grades 1-4 as well as the Director of Student Engagement. From the very beginning of her teaching career, she has found that the true magic of education emerges when children are empowered to construct their own understanding through meaningful learning experiences. Her time at Westtown, a Quaker boarding school near Philadelphia, instilled in her a commitment to consensus building as a foundation for driving meaningful change. Charlotte, a committed member of the Quaker community, has enthusiastically embraced her new role as Director of Quaker Education as well.

She has earned her B.A. in sociology from Trinity University in D.C., an M.Ed. in elementary education from Trinity University as well. She has over twenty-five years of teaching experience in both independent and public schools. As a lifelong Marylander, she moved to Massachusetts recently. In Maryland, both of her children attended Sandy Spring Friends School where their father worked.

When not in the classroom, Charlotte enjoys reading, spending time with family as well as friends, and being active in nature.
