Mission and Vision

In the fall of 2025, the Cambridge Friends community came together to intentionally refresh and reground our vision and mission as we move into the future. These new statements are the result of a collaborative effort and intentional reflection by alumni, current and alumni families, faculty and staff, and the Board of Trustees.

The Cambridge Friends School Vision

Cambridge Friends School cultivates learners who are compassionate, confident, and excited to learn within a community animated by Quaker principles and practices. Our graduates pursue lifelong inquiry and the quest for truth to positively impact their communities.

The Mission of Cambridge Friends School

Through a purposeful and relational approach to learning, Cambridge Friends School nurtures the inherent gifts and light within each child. In the tradition of Quaker education, we engage students in an intellectually rigorous curriculum that fosters critical thinking, develops interdisciplinary skills, and inspires the search for truth through inquiry.

How does the Vision and Mission impact CFS?

Our vision captures the world we envision when we succeed in our mission. And the mission is a statement of action about how we plan to bring that world into being.
