Joseph Mercado

Joseph Mercado serves as the Director of Information Technology at Cambridge Friends School, where he also supports Registrar operations and school-wide data systems. He joined CFS in 2023, drawn to the school’s mission, its strong sense of community, and the opportunity to build thoughtful, student-centered technology practices that empower both teaching and learning.

With a background in educational technology, systems administration, and school data management, Joseph oversees everything from network infrastructure and cybersecurity to Chromebooks, classroom technology, and Blackbaud Education Management. He is passionate about making technology simple, reliable, and accessible for all members of the community.

Joseph enjoys designing custom tools and automations that improve school workflows, and he has led several major upgrades to support CFS’s long-term operational health. Outside of work, he loves coding, exploring new tech projects, and spending time with his family.
