Rebecca Robinson, ’08: Author of It’s Brave to Cry

Rebecca published her first children’s book It’s Brave to Cry. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Syracuse University, she then pursued her Master’s in Educational Psychology and graduated summa cum laude from Teachers College, Columbia University. With an extensive background in childhood development and early childhood education, she has translated some of her expertise into this book to help children identify and label their emotions, develop appropriate regulation techniques, and how to understand their own feelings, and the feelings of others as well.
