Summer Program – Week 1

Summer Growth & Gardening

July 13 to July 17, 2020

During our first week of programming, students will focus on re-entering group spaces, learning new norms, and their growth in response to the pandemic. The changes our students are experiencing will be mirrored in activities focused on plant growth stages and gardening.

Highlights by Age Group

Ages 4 to 6

  • Learn about seeds (beans, pine cones, milkweed, etc.)
  • Re-grow food (chives, celery, lettuce, pineapple, etc.)
  • Dirty is clean – healthy standards related to COVID-19 
  • Pollen and bees

Ages 6 to 8

  • Re-grow food

Ages 8 to 10

  • Choose foods to grow – what do you want for lunch?

Ages 10 to 12

  • Group identity team bonding
