In the Middle School, a carefully crafted schedule of online classes and offline independent student work time allows a demanding and extensive Middle School curriculum to stay on track and has energized students to take ownership of their learning in a much deeper and engaging way. The Middle School distance learning includes all classes following a schedule that parallels a regular academic school day. Utilizing Google Meet and Zoom as the means to conduct synchronous learning and Google Classroom for asynchronous lessons, faculty have delved into numerous online resources including ArcGIS maps, TinkerCad 3D, and Voicethread, to truly expand and optimize student’s virtual learning experience.
Maintaining community, each grade meets online weekly for Meeting for Worship, and optional Chat Rooms are available once weekly. Homework Club is conducted by our Learning Specialist and is offered in three-hour blocks, four times a week. Faculty also hold one-on-one meetings to check-in with students, and offer optional office hours to allow time for additional help.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cambridge Friends School has done a phenomenal job supporting and educating our son. We were incredibly impressed with how quickly the school pivoted to online learning, with all classes being included on the course agenda. The teachers are doing an excellent job keeping the students engaged and learning. The small class sizes have been a real plus for this way of learning. We so appreciate everything CFS has done for our son and our family, particularly during this difficult time.
