CFS Student Walk-Out for Climate Change

On Friday, March 15, Cambridge Friends School middle school students participated in a walk-out to push for action on climate change. Students were accompanied by middle school teachers Becca, Jose, and substitute teacher Mike, as well as registrar Nick, Head of Middle School and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Jack, and parents Deb and Natasha. They marched from CFS to the State House, where they joined the crowds in pushing for legislation for action on climate change. As Becca writes, “It was a beautiful day on Friday. We made our way to the State House and joined the rally for about 45 minutes with our signs. The youth organization was amazing, and they were asking the rally to intensify the impact by lobbying representatives inside the State House.”
