On Sunday, September 13, CFS hosted its first-ever, virtual All School Welcome Assembly. Exactly six months since the School closed its doors due to COVID-19, a remote gathering of song led by Marytha Paffrath, Instrumental Music and Dance Program Director and Grade 3/4 Music Teacher, accompanied by Susan Robbins on the piano, helped to kick-off the new school year. Close to 40 devices were logged on joining in songs like “If I Had a Hammer,” and an all-time school favorite, “This Little Light of Mine.”
Although group singing is not allowed at school in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, it did not stop individuals from gathering in song in the comfort of their homes.
