Elliot Chapman, CFS Alumni ’18, Speaks on Two Panels in Youth 4 Youth iSummit

November 07, 2021

Elliot Chapman, CFS Alumni ’18 and current high school senior at Concord Carlisle High School spoke on two panels in the Youth 4 Youth iSummit, powered by LookUp.Live, AGL Communication, and The Social Dilemma. More than 185 youth leaders and award-winning speakers shared their personal stories and innovative solutions for creating a digital world that is free from harm and full of opportunities.

Elliot joined former Governor Deval Patrick who has been tapping into all corners of America as Co-Chair of Future of Tech Commission, sparking conversations around and seeking input into the most urgent tech issues facing America today. Deval Patrick and ten young leaders held a conversation for a candid and hopeful discussion on Future of Tech. Individuals spoke on tech topics that the Biden administration also cares about: inclusive tech policies for the nation and creating a blueprint of public-private solutions.

On Sunday, October 17, Elliot will join Alexandra Anis King-Shaw, Communications Manager, DEI Lead at LookUp.Live and others in conversation about how young people’s personal identities and sense of self are becoming intertwined with a digital identity, yet there remains a divide between those who are represented and those who are not. These youth advocates spoke to the importance of seeing others like themselves online. Topics ranged from the creation of avatars for the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community in gaming to acknowledging and opening up conversations on and offline about creating safe, inclusive, and representative places and identities online.
