Overview Charitable Giving at Cambridge Friends School If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in the common hours. Henry David Thoreau, Walden Charitable giving and volunteerism are long-standing traditions at Cambridge Friends School, and are essential to the financial health and vitality of our school. The school that we have today was made possible by the vision and generosity of many who came before us. We are responsible for ensuring that CFS remains a viable institution for those who come after us. As is true in many independent schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of educating a CFS student. Charitable giving helps us to meet our annual budget expenditures and to plan for the future. In the Quaker tradition, CFS values every gift—of time, or money. Gifts come from the heart and are dedicated to helping CFS accomplish its educational mission. Every dollar raised, every person who participates in our giving programs helps to raise our profile in the philanthropic community, and their efforts may result in more funding for CFS. In our school, each parent is a member of our development team! |
The development office, led by director of development Suzanna Schell, oversees all fundraising activities, in concert with the head of school and the Board of Trustees. Please contact Suzanna Schell, director of development, at 617.354.3880 X 110, or sschell@cfsmass.org, for more information about giving to CFS.
